Approx. 200 already fixed projects โ€“ more than 85% are carried out by local and regional project promoters such as artists, associations, institutions and companies.

The program of the European Capital of Culture Bad Ischl Salzkammergut 2024 is growing and flourishing. Numerous committed partners from the region are at the side of the program team and are concretizing the content of their projects; the program is fed by international impulses that bring new voices and perspectives to the Salzkammergut.

At the closing press conference, Artistic Director Elisabeth Schweeger summarised the European Capital of Culture: It is not a finished project. Rather, it is the prelude to shaping a sustainable future for everyone in the Salzkammergut region.
A comprehensive press programme will give all media representatives an overview of the opening programme and the projects and events taking place around the opening of the European Capital of Culture Bad Ischl Salzkammergut 2024.
