With the 4th Baukulturgemeinde Award, the LandLuft association brings Austria’s most innovative municipalities to the fore. Under the motto “Using land wisely”, the prize was awarded to municipalities that use their land carefully and strengthen life in their centre. The exhibition aims to inspire people to focus on building culture in local development.
It shows examples of strengthening town centres, consistent land policy, building in existing buildings, unsealing and greening through to denser forms of housing and successful mobility and participation concepts. The people who made these developments possible have their say.
At the opening, we take a look at Trofaiach, where bold, cost-effective and feasible measures have revitalised the town centre.
