We explore the variety of sounds in our immediate surroundings and especially in the water! People of all ages who are interested in music are invited to embark on a listening adventure.
Our expeditions have taken us to a variety of places, from babbling brooks and calm waters to thundering weirs and bubbling springs. Not only did we discover the impressive soundscape of water – each sound tells its own story and invites interpretation. They learnt how microphones, hydrophones and geophones are used to capture the different facets of the soundscapes.
The collected sound material served as a source of inspiration for musical compositions. The participants created their own pieces by analysing the sounds of nature and transferring them to different instruments. These will be presented at the square concert.
