Bernadette La Hengst was, among other things, a singer and guitarist with the Hamburg band “Die Braut haut ins Auge” and works as a theatre director. From swinging pop songs to chansons and lovers’ soul, from funk and folk to rap and electro dub, she convincingly combines point of view and revolt. She does the rest with guitar, piano and a wonderfully powerful and passionate voice. In between, there are piano contrasts from Schubert to Bruckner to expressive contemporary art.
