Description

On 5 October, the art and cooking collective Healthy Boy Band will serve one last omakase menu in the mobile HOT BOX BUILDING by Studio Clemens Bauder and friendship.is.

What’s on the menu? Sausage. And why? Because it’s not just sausage. Because it’s actually about much more than what’s on the plate. And that’s what the Healthy Boy Band stands for, who will be thanking and serving up the harvest on 5 October at the “Place of Power”, Rangjung Yeshe Gomde.

Rangjung Yeshe Gomde, which means “the place of getting to know with naturally arising alertness”, is the Buddhist centre in Scharnstein! On 5 October, Gomde not only welcomes HOT BOX BUILDING, but also offers guided tours of the site’s garden after each menu. Meditation sites will be visited as well as the pavilions of the exhibition “Sites of Transformation“, an architectural project also part of the European Capital of Culture Bad Ischl Salzkammergut 2024!

Five timeslots bookable from 12.00 noon
Duration approx. 90 minutes each.

The HOT BOX BUILDING is the result of a cooperation between the trio of the Healthy Boy Band (Philip Rachinger, Lukas Mraz and Felix Schellhorn), the agency friendship.is and the architect Clemens Bauder as part of the Wirtshauslabor Salzkammergut 2024, a project of the European Capital of Culture Bad Ischl Salzkammergut 2024. The mobile wooden construction is being realised by the Scharnstein joinery TREWIT.

And by the way! Their evening programme for 5 October is already secured: Austria’s Wirtshaus Show #4 with Kira Saskia Schinko

Wirtshauslabor Salzkammergut 2024

Wirtshauskultur reloaded: The laboratory offers top-class chefs, ambitious trainees and artists a playing field to dynamise traditional regional gastronomy with new culinary art and innovative concepts.
