The young and ambitious Iranian judoka Leila travels to Tbilisi together with her trainer Maryam for the World Judo Championships. Her biggest dream: to bring home the first gold medal for Iran. When it becomes apparent during the competition that she could run into a competitor from Israel, the Tehran regime becomes nervous. In order to prevent the shame of a possible defeat, Leila is faced with a serious decision: Should she bow to pressure from the regime and retire early or continue to fight? Is she risking defamation as a traitor to the state and thus freedom and security for herself, her trainer and her family in Iran?

Two institutions, whose extinction in rural regions has often been complained of, are more lively than ever under the motto CINEMA AS A GUEST and invite you on a cinematic culinary tour through the Upper Austrian foothills of the Alps from October to November. Taverns as well as cultural-gastronomic meeting places are transformed into inviting movie theaters that have more to offer than the obligatory popcorn bag. A diverse program of current Austrian and international auteur films is provided, among others, by Cultural Initiative 08/16 Gmunden.
