In 1864, Anton Bruckner visited the town of Attersee am Attersee several times. At that time, he was not yet the great symphonist, but rather the cathedral organist in Linz and composer of numerous works of church music. Some of these will be heard in this concert, framed by a celebration in honour of the composer, including participation by the local singing group and beer tapping.
