Last year, the Salzkammergut 2024 program team invited people to submit project proposals for the Capital of Culture year. The 1000 submissions received in response to this open call testify to a great interest in culture and high potential of creative power.
“We will only be able to realize some of the projects, but we still want to draw public attention to so much interest in art and create further opportunities for realization. All project submitters and artists were given the opportunity to meet with business, politics, cultural managers and publishers in order to exchange ideas, create synergies and ideally find alternative implementation options. “Furthermore, we are constantly lobbying the 23 municipalities in the Capital of Culture region to secure additional venues and other support,” says the Salzkammergut 2024 team.
