born and raised in Bad Ischl – lives and works as a composer, sound artist and curator in Vienna. In addition to her solo project under the alias Gischt, in which she focuses on raw and brutal sounds in the realm of digital hyperdetermination, she works as a sound designer and composer for film and develops compositions for performances. Winterauer is co-founder and label boss of Ventil Records and is co-organizer and financial manager of Unsafe+Sounds Festival. In this context she works on the continuous development and realization of artistic projects in the field of sound art and electronic music in the broadest sense, thinking beyond genre boundaries.

NEW SALT is a series of events for experimental music positions and digital art that will be presented in different formats and different places within the Salzkammergut region. NEW SALT will culminate in a four-day festival in 2024.
