The Austrian artist Tom Neuwirth a.k.a. Conchita Wurst won the Eurovision Song Contest as a bearded diva in 2014 and became a figurehead of the queer community overnight. Since then, he has toured the World, released three albums, hosts TV shows, and repeatedly uses the attention to support socio-political causes. During the pandemic, he started writing his own music, released new tracks and accompanying pop music videos, and launched his own video streaming-platform WURSTTV.com for his fans.
Since they first met at Starmania in 2006, Martin Zerza and Tom Neuwirth have travelled from the countryside to the city.
