is a trained ski jumper and works internationally as a media, culture and education manager. From 2005 to 2020, he was managing director of the Free Radio Salzkammergut in Bad Ischl, during which time he developed the Free Radio into a medium that has received numerous awards, such as the prestigious Democracy Prize of the Austrian Parliament. Friedwagner was part of the application team for Bad Ischl/Salzkammergut – European Capital of Culture 2024 and is a member of the board and artistic programme board of the Festival of Regions in Upper Austria. He currently works as a research and educational assistant at the Federal Institute for Adult Education and is a volunteer at the Kunsthaus Deutschvilla in Strobl am Wolfgangsee.
