Haruko Maeda (*1983 in Tokyo) studied fine arts in Tokyo and Linz. She has been teaching portrait drawing/painting in the painting class at the University of Art and Design Linz since 2012. Haruko Maeda works with the help of different media. In her painting, she often uses the vanitas motif. Her pictures are characterised by forms of representation from European and Japanese art history.
Lives and works in Vienna.
