Florian Moitzi was born in Linz, Austria, on September 11, 1979. He has studied jazz saxophone at the the “Anton Bruckner Privat Universität” with Harry Sokal. Florian’s composing career began when he joined various workshops and main studies with Christoph Cech. Besides being an elementary and special school teacher, Florian is an active solo saxophonist in various jazz groups. He regularly receives commissions to compose for big bands, choirs, wind orchestras and smaller ensembles.
