Application phase

The application for Salzkammergut 2024 – European Capital of Culture was a cooperation project between the three LEADER regions Regis (Inneres Salzkammergut), Ennstal-Ausseerland and Traunstein. It was funded by the federal states, the federal government and the European Union. The project was initiated by the municipality of Bad Ischl, which also acts as the project sponsor.

In keeping with the regional dimension of this project, the aforementioned LEADER associations became shareholders of the Cultural Capital Bad Ischl – Salzkammergut 2024 Company.
