Description

Franz Schlicht, a frozen food salesman, sets off in search of a missing body in the middle of a heatwave.

He encounters corrupt politicians and paranoid engineers, brutal ex-lovers and death-obsessed pathologists, a “deep state” beneath and beside our reality, a macabre network worse than any conspiracy theory. A wildly comic journey through a rotting social body, a roundelay of malice, corruption, destruction of nature, property fraud, nationalism and perversion. An attack on nostalgia and repression full of laughter and melancholy. A contemporary operetta as a series in 5 episodes.
Ferdinand Schmalz (text) and Lukas Kranzelbinder (music) are among the most exciting Austrian artists of their generation and are working together for the first time on this project.
