More about the contributor

born in 1973, is a Czech artist and sculptor. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and the Rijksakademie van Bildende Küsten in Amsterdam. He has been nominated three times for the Jindřich Chalupecký Award. He was one of the co-creators of the Entropa sculpture, which was exhibited in Brussels during the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2009. Lives in Prague.

The scenario in which our daily experience as individuals and as a community is inscribed is no longer that of the natural world. In the so-called “copper age”, which is based on the transmission of energy and information, Kintera compares nature to a huge nervous system; as if it were a living organism. First of all, nature is recreated and regenerated in the artist’s workshop. Paintings, photographs, notes and drawings on the walls, discarded electrical and electronic material, stills, lamps and chemicals are all tools and objects of the trade that become generative elements of a new natural beauty for the artist.
