Ella Raidel works as a filmmaker at the interface of theory and practice. The region of the Salzkammergut always provides her with material for her films and projects. Her film Double Happiness (2014) about the copy of Hallstatt in China, was shown at over 60 national and international film festivals, conferences, workshops and exhibitions.
The collaborative project with Clemens Bauder and Felix Ganzer and the resulting film BERG was developed as part of the Festival der Regionen 2015. Here, too, the main protagonist is a mountain that transports a narrative.
Since 2019, she has been an assistant professor at NTU Nanyang Technological University Singapore. Her works have been shown in the context of art, film, architecture and science: Taipei Biennial (2016), 1st Asian Biennial/ Guangdong Museum of Art (2015), Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism/Architecture, Hong Kong (2015), Transmediale/Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin (2013), Floating Islands/Shanghai Biennial (2012/13), Asia Triennial, Manchester, Discovering the Other/National Palace Museum, Taipei, Based Upon: True Stories/Witte de Wit Rotterdam and at numerous international film festivals such as HotDocs, Canada (2014), CPH:DOX Copenhagen (2014) or BAFICI, Buenos Aires (2015) and. v.m.
All her artistic-scientific works are regularly shown with the public and target groups from art, film, architecture and science.
