Motoi Yamamoto born 1966 in Onomichi, Hiroshima. Lives and works in Kanazawa, Japan. Graduated from Kanazawa College of Art in 1995 and received The Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant in 2003. Yamamoto has had numerous national and international exhibitions, including MoMA P.S.1 at The Museum of Modern Art, New York, The Hermitage Museum, The Nuit Blanche Paris, Kunst-Station Sankt Peter Cologne, Ernst Barlach Haus Hamburg, Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art Kanazawa, Setouchi Triennale and a touring exhibition through five American cities, including The Mint Museum, Charlotte.
