Willi Dorner lives and works in Vienna, where he develops his artistic works, which tour internationally. His projects include stage plays, site-specific performances and installations. Willi Dorner is also active in the fields of short film, visual arts and stage photography. Most of his works are created in collaboration with artists and scientists from various fields. In addition to his internationally touring dance performances, Willi Dorner is keen to create events that give the audience the opportunity for new experiences, insights and a different perception of everyday life.
The Gaze of the Outsider
The researching artistic gaze from the outside is placed on local communities, on traditions and rituals, history and stories, on cultural activities, perhaps also on conflicts and points of dispute.
